This bootcamp-style workshop is designed to teach Linux foundational skills to current Windows administrators. Uniquely delivered to students with a “real world” Day-2 operational approach, taught using a “glossary” approach - comparing and contrasting students’ existing Windows skills to Linux features and approaches. Topics include:

  • Working with the command line
  • Package management (MSI vs. Yum)
  • User administration (AD vs. IdM vs. local users)
  • Systems management (Satellite vs. SCOM)
  • Web serving (IIS vs. Apache)
  • Process and system monitoring, including logging
  • File and directory permissions

No. Our workshops are designed around technology enablement. Deep-dive product training and certification is available from our partners:

Why workshops from Arctiq?

Arctiq workshops are focused purely on technology enablement, involve complete lifecycle components, and rarely have installation activities included. When our attendees show up on day 1, the required components are mostly installed, and ready to go.

Where are the lab environments provisioned?

Most Arctiq workshop lab components are provisioned with public cloud partners. This allows our attendees to focus on learning, rather than local PC/laptop issues. For any workshops run onsite, some baseline connectivity requirements will need to be tested.
