  • Fireside Chat with Loris Degioanni and Knox Anderson from Sysdig

    (16 Oct 2018)
We have been getting a lot of great feedback on the recent Fireside Chat series we have been posting. This week I am traveling on the west coast and had a stop over in San Francisco for GitHub Universe. I had some time on Monday so I stopped in at the Sysdig office to meet some of the extended team and dig deep into their culture and powerful technology. As we know timing is everything... I managed to get some time with Loris and Knox and have an impromptu fireside chat.
  • Fireside Chat with Kelsey Hightower

    (16 Aug 2018)
On June.28th in Toronto Arctiq had the pleasure of hosting a fireside chat with Kelsey Hightower from Google at our Clouds Containers and Kelsey Event. If you haven't heard of Kelsey he's a huge kubernetes advocate and opensource evangelist. More than anything he is known for sharing his time, knowledge, code and has a strong commitment to the opensource tech community. Not to mention an all around approachable and nice guy. You can check out his Github page - https://github.com/kelseyhightower. Do yourself a favor and search for some of him keynotes and live technical demo's from various community conferences.

Why does the ability to share insight, as a result of that data, across various teams have such a high cost? I have been asking myself these questions for much of my career in technology. I think back to when my team was responsible for large scale web, and electronic payment systems. We always struggled with monitoring, and more specifically understanding the performance and trending information about our systems.
